Recently moved to the Monumental Complex of Santa Caterina in Finalborgo, The ArcheologicMuseum of Finale is an exhibition that, through archeological findings, reconstructions,dioramas and scenographies, lets one rediscover the characteristics of the Finale area fromprehistory to the present day.

The gallery, located in the historical Palazzo Gavotti, offers an itinerary through art from thefourteenth century all the way to the present day, with paintings, sculptures and pottery. Somepieces that stand out are the extraordinary Crocifissione of Donato de' Bardi, a unicum in thelandscape of renaissance painting, the Pala Fornari of Vincenzo da Foppa and the greatpoliticians of the age of the popes of Savona Sisto IV and Giulio II. The 17th, 18th and 19thcenturies are represented in many paintings made by most important active artists in Liguria.


PALAZZO GAVOTTI – COLLEZIONI CERAMICHE

The museum displays superb examples of the local pottery production dating from the 15th tothe 20th century, like the “laggioni” of the sixteenth century and the works of various artistsfrom the twentieth century, including Fabbri, Farfa, Jorn and Lam.
